First and foremost we consider ourselves cyder drinkers. Having started off making cyder as a hobby I was encouraged by other cyder makers who had tried my cyder to enter competitions. We got great results early on and due to popular demand eventually started selling our cyder and perry. The competitions we like most are peer judged. The Welsh Perry and Cider Championships, The Big Apple Cider Trials at Putley and The Powerstock Cider festival are great fun. Our highlights have been the Royal Bath and West Show 2012 when we won the Farmhouse Dry category and the same cyder was voted Reserve Champion Special Farmhouse Cider.
(this is like the FA Cup of cyder making !)
Another highlight was winning Champion Cider of Wales 2013 with Old Tom Bombadil Cyder.
